We grow a little more numb with each passing day. The things that once filled us with joy now shrink into the margins of our lives, faint echoes of emotions we barely recognize. And while we turn away from them, someone, out there, watches us. Curious. Envious. Longing to feel, even for a single heartbeat, what for us has become ordinary, tedious, almost forgettable.
